Fitsmile marathon experiences.

Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined running any kind of race distance, let alone a marathon.In January 2018, I wanted to challenge myself physically. I decided this would be the Dublin City Marathon.I knew if this was to happen I needed dedicated people to help me.

I approached Fitsmile Marta and Alicja, who listened very carefully and came up with a wonderful running training plan to help me achieve my goal.
I just knew I got myself the very best trainers.
Training was tough, Fitsmile Marta and Alicja were 100% committed to my training and was always available to answer any queries I had. but I loved every minute of training. Before I knew it I ran my first ever 5k 10k 21k and finally october 2018 with the help of Fitsmile Marta I completed my first marathon.
The experience was so amazing and overwhelming that I knew I had to do it again.I wanted to do better, so in 2019.
Fitsmile Marta and Alicja sorted tailored individual 8 week running training plans for me. They advised on all aspects of my training from staying hydrated, keeping injury free, to improving my running times. Somehow Fitsmile Marta and Alicja have managed to turn me into an endurance runner.
My training with Fitsmile has become a way of life for me. I am already training for my next new adventure with Fitsmile through there new running app.I absolutely love training with Fitsmile.
The Fitsmile running club is just like a added gift.
So many like minded individuals and we all surport each other 100%. How lucky am I?
By having the proper professional trainers like Fitsmile Marta and Alicja anyone can achieve a dream.I can only sincerely thank them from the bottom of my heart and I look forward to completing lots more challenges with Fitsmile.

Marathon Training 2019

Marta and Alicja’s Fitsmile training plans certainly were a lifeline getting me to achieve running the Dublin Marathon 2019.  They are such caring, dedicated and professional trainers, seriously I couldn’t have achieved this goal without them.

I cherished the experience running in a number of destinations throughout the 10 months – from Maynooth, Donegal, London, Belfast and Portugal and of course the finale in Dublin.  Encountered many funny moments along the way including unconsciously joining in a park race I’d never officially entered, finding myself in the middle of a golf course I wasn’t meant to be running on, plus numerous al fresco accidents!

I cherish being part of the Fitsmile’s running family who are all so supportive of each other and amazing positive friends.

Marathon Training 2018

Before meeting Marta and Alicja of Fitsmile, I had very little belief in getting myself fit, never mind running a Marathon!  I was in and out of gym memberships, starting in January and finishing by February. Marta and Alicja’s talent isn’t just showing you how to use the Fitsmile equipment, it’s inspiring you to believe you can do anything you want if you put your mind to it.  Along with a training plan and their expertise guiding you along, you will find yourself toning up muscles you didn’t know you had and accomplishing exciting things you only watched on TV.

Marta and Alicja helped me get to a brand new level of fitness, a totally different attitude to nutrition and setting goals you would think you might miss (but don’t).  Marta and Alicja’s guidance, expertise, knowledge and wisdom set me on a path first getting to 5k then 10k and before long a half marathon.  Marta and Alicja then continued with the inspiration, as they do and before long I was following a daily plan starting in February of 2018.  Still not knowing if I could run a marathon I placed 200% trust in Marta and Alicja.  Surely enough, the days passed steadily and I kept ticking off the distances, 2 hours here, 16k there and all the while listening carefully to what they had to say.  I was nervous of course but continued to listen and keep my head calm.  By the time I had run my longest; the Longwood three-quarter marathon (32k), I was in this calm, surreal state..  I got this…  I was ready.

Finally, the big day.  October 28th 2018.  It was fantastic.. so many people, so much excitement and I was fizzing with it all.  The time went by so fast.. 10k.. halfway… heartbreak hill (which was more of a ‘slightly-disappointed’ speed-bump) but by that time, everything is sore.  Turning across the bridge over the Stillorgan Road, I saw a group of friendly familiar faces which was very welcome and it keeps you going but out of the blue, jogging briefly alongside me was Marta like an angel in jeans offering the most valuable bottle of water I’ve ever had in my said I had just “5k to go, you can do this!” and I did, crossed the finish line very sore but very proud and happy.  Thank you Marta and Alicja, I would never have done it without you!

I am delighted to give a reference for 2 great personal trainers and 2 wonderful people Marta and Alicja.
Fitsmile Fitness girls were my personal trainers for 3 months during 2017 when I decided to do my first ever Gaelforce West adventure race. I have had trainers before, so I was a little hesitant and nervous as some trainers make you feel awkward or like “just another customer that knows nothing about fitness”. From the very first meeting the girls made me feel comfortable and always made sure that I was doing the exercises correctly, and that I was being challenged. They always kept training sessions interesting and enjoyable and ensured that I was being pushed to my limits.

Marta and Alicja were extremely professional, always punctual, very diligent and understanding. They designed the programme to suit my busy lifestyle and kept a thorough record of my training sessions and progress. I also received a lot of nutrition advice and a meal plan to help me with my energy levels during the training sessions.

All in all, Marta and Alicja know their stuff and are passionate about helping you to achieve your own health and fitness goals. They encourage you and push you to achieve your potential in a firm but friendly way. You always feel that they are 100% focussed on you and your progress.

Even when I train today, I hear their voices and positive affirmations in my head, which allows me to push myself further and harder than I originally thought possible.
